Bayon Temple

The following temple ruins are located a little bit isolated from the city. Let us introduce you to our favorite one it Banyon Temple (Angkor Thom). It is situated 7 kilometers away from the city, well, but it is worth to visit. The appearance, the art, the carving are way far better and it is well-preserved than the other temples as it is made of sand stone. It literally makes the different.


Taprom Temple

Go further, you will get to see other temples, which have been considered as the holly place and it used to be our first capital city in Angkor Era. They did the digest and carving the stone before sending to build the temples.


Baphoun Temple

Another hidden temple is Baphuon. It is located in Angkor Thom area, northwest of the Bayon. It was built in the mid-11th century, it is a three-tiered temple mountain built as the state temple of Udayadityavarman II dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva.



Getting away from the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap; moreover, head to the surrounding countryside to visit stilt houses, cycle along red soil paths, and enjoy a typical Khmer lunch with the friendly locals.
